 Welcome Get ready for the best summer ever at Wish Upon a Star Summer Camp. Under the Sea and Summer Sun begins May 29th with a Picnic in the Park and ends on August 7th with a Summer's End Cook Out Party with lots of fun in between. We are now located in our BRAND NEW sixteen thousand square foot state of the art facility. 
Our children and their families are an important part of our lives
and we will continuously strive to make life easier for them in any
way possible. Please feel free to call us at any
time and allow us to answer any questions you may have. We are always
happy to give you a tour of our beautiful center with no appointment

Our Philosophy Our objective is to see that your child is loved and well cared for during the hours away from your care. We strive to make your child feel accepted and appreciated, as well as to stimulate his/her excitement for learning. We attempt for each child to learn good personal manners, as well as healthy eating habits. Each child is encouraged to express themselves through their own ideas and experiences through play. Our desire is to help in developing a happy, well-rounded, disciplined child. We believe that play is a child's work and children play to learn, grow, and to experience the world around them. Wish Upon A Star encompasses
a philosophy by which children are allowed to develop naturally,
each at their own individual pace. Therefore, our programs are based
on the individual social, intellectual, and physical development
of each child. We believe children are happy and secure when they
have plenty of opportunities to succeed each day. Success breeds
self confidence, and the self confident child approaches learning
as fun and actively searches for information and solutions to problems.
As a result, they develop into well-rounded capable adults. To make this philosophy work, our teaching staff guides each child
in a clean, safe and specially prepared environment using carefully
designed materials, to give children the opportunity to learn through

AccreditationsWish Upon A Star is proud to have a Gold Seal accreditation through A.P.P.L.E!Early childhood programs that are A.P.P.L.E. accredited have demonstrated a commitment to providing high quality programs for young children and their families. Gold Seal accredited centers are held to much stricter guideline compared to those centers who do not hold an accreditation. The accreditation process requires each school to meet specific quality standards in areas such as interactions among teachers and children, staff to child ratios, developmental appropriateness of the curriculum, staff qualifications, health and safety, and administration. It also requires schools to undergo a validation process to verify their compliance with APPLE guidelines which may be more stringent than state licensing requirements. We pride ourselves on being one of the best child care centers in the area. |
